Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to The Athletic.
The Blues have contacted the Foxes as they consider a bid for the midfielder, although they have not submitted a formal offer.
The 25-year-old was instrumental in Leicester’s promotion to the Premier League last season, playing a pivotal role under the guidance of new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.
The Blues are looking to reunite the pair at Stamford Bridge, and it is believed Dewsbury-Hall is keen on the move.
Dewsbury-Hall was a prominent figure in the Leicester line-up last season, missing just two Championship games.
He bagged 12 goals and 14 assists in 44 Championship games, spurring Maresca’s side to the league title, but his underlying metrics were also outstanding.
In addition to his 26 goal contributions, Dewsbury-Hall created a staggering 20 big chances, averaging 2.5 key passes per 90 minutes.
He also won 56% of his ground duels and averaged 5.1 ball recoveries per match, emphasising his ability to influence proceedings on both ends of the pitch.
Dewsbury-Hall’s phenomenal performances for Leicester earned him the club’s Players’ Player of the Season and Men’s Player of the Season awards.
He was also included in the EFL Championship Team of the Season, reflecting his massive contribution to Leicester’s title win.
It remains to be seen how much the Foxes will demand for the Englishman, but the Blues have registered an interest in his services.
Brighton & Hove Albion have also been linked with a move for the midfielder, but he is believed to favour a move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea also want to sign a striker, a left-back, and a winger this summer.
The Blues are on the cusp of signing Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu and are also closing in on Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino.
They’ve also been linked with a move for Lille striker Jonathan David, while Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran is another name on their extensive shortlist.
