Everton eye move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Everton could potentially make a move for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window.

According to journalist Alex Crook, the Toffees are showing keen interest in signing the former Crystal Palace defender who could be allowed to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Writing for talkSPORT, the transfer expert shared (25 June) that the 26-year-old defender is also wanted by Turkish club Galatasaray and other clubs.

Sean Dyche is also a fan of centre-back Victor Lindelof, who could be seen as a potential replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite, but the Toffees are showing no willingness to sell their star defender this summer unless their £70 million valuation is met.

Crook wrote for talkSPORT: “I’m told the Toffees are one of a number of clubs interested in right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who also wanted by Galatasaray.”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be replacement for Seamus Coleman at Everton

Wan-Bisssaka is a vastly experienced right-back. He is a product of Crystal Palace youth academy and made 46 senior appearances for the Eagles in the Premier League before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2019.

He is a reliable defender who is very solid at the back. Wan-Bissaka is a defensive-minded right-back known for his pace, slide tackling and ability to win one-on-one defensive duels.

The right-back has made 190 appearances for the Red Devils across five seasons. However, Erik ten Hag probably wants an attacking minded full-back, and he would be willing to offload Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Wan-Bissaka is probably more suited to Dyche’s system, where he prefers defenders to stay rooted in their position more often than go all out on the attack. He can get the best out of the right-back if he moves to Goodison Park this summer.

Everton have already signed two players, and are working on a deal to bring Marseille attacking midfielder Iliman Ndiaye. They could be looking to bolster their full-back areas, as they need a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman who will turn 36 in a few months’ time.
