Tottenham ready to listen to offers for injury-prone Richarlison

Tottenham Hotspur are poised to overhaul their offensive options this summer to boost their bid to go one better than last season’s fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

According to, Richarlison would be the likeliest candidate to make room for new arrivals, but only if Spurs received a ‘serious’ offer for their £60 million-rated striker.

With captain Son Heung-min deemed unsellable and Ange Postecoglou’s side reaffirming their trust in Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner, the Brazilian’s future in North London is in jeopardy.

Richarlison fared well in the 2023/24 campaign despite being plagued by niggling injuries, racking up 11 goals and four assists across 28 league appearances.

However, his recurring fitness issues restricted him to only 18 Premier League starts last term, and his inability to stay away from the treatment room could prove the scourge of his career at Tottenham.

The 27-year-old was supposed to be a crucial piece of Brazil’s frontline puzzle at Copa America 2024, yet a thigh injury has ruled him out of the tournament.

As he continues his recovery, the former Everton and Watford centre-forward risks being cast out by Tottenham amidst the club’s hopes of landing Lille talisman Jonathan David.

Even though he was Postecoglou’s second-most prolific forward last season behind Son, Richarlison could fall victim to his troubling injury record.

Spurs have yet to receive enquires about their injury-prone star, and given his notorious fitness struggles, it’s unlikely anyone would come near their staggering valuation.

David’s potential arrival would probably accelerate the Brazilian’s departure, yet Tottenham must see off stiff competition from AC Milan and Roma to sign the Canada international.

New Milan boss Paulo Fonseca wants to bring his former associate to San Siro to replace Olivier Giroud, but only if the club’s pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee comes a cropper.

In the meantime, Milan and Tottenham are negotiating Emerson Royal’s switch to Serie A, with Richarlison’s countryman keen on wearing the coveted Rossoneri shirt next term.
