West Ham are making progress in signing Argentine attacking midfielder, Matias Soule.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the Hammers have started “initial contact” with the player’s agent in the “last few hours”, and are showing strong interest.
The Argentine midfielder is also open to negotiation. West Ham have anticipated Juventus’ desire to sell the player and will present an official offer soon.
The Hammers have strong intentions of closing down the deal, and Juventus are also in a hurry to sell. The Old Lady would be willing to listen to offers of around £33 million.
Fabrizio Romano shared on X on 12 June that the Hammers are one of the clubs to have registered an interest in the 21-year-old winger.
As of now, the Hammers have not made any formal move for the player, but they have contacted Soule’s agent.
West Ham looking to bolster their forward department
Soule is a highly-rated young talent who enjoyed a successful 2023-24 campaign in Italy. Last season, he joined Frosinone on loan where he managed 11 goals and three assists in 36 appearances in the Serie A.
West Ham will be looking to bolster their forward department this summer and Soule could be a fantastic addition. He is known for his dribbling skills but the price tag quoted for him is too high.
The Hammers signed Luis Guilherme in the summer transfer window and are looking to add more players.
Udinese defender Nehuen Perez has been linked with a move to West Ham, while the Hammers have made a formal offer to sign Brazilian defender Vitao.
The Argentine winger has yet to establish himself as a regular for Juventus, and West Ham are making moves already to sign Soule.
