Wolverhampton Wanderers enjoyed a decent 2023-24 season under Gary O’Neil as they finished 14th in the Premier League with 46 points.
The Wanderers will be targeting a top-half finish next term by making a few quality additions.
They are set to make an impressive start to the summer transfer window as they are reportedly on the verge of signing Braga star Rodrigo Gomes.
According to The Athletic, Wolves are set to sign the 20-year-old in a deal worth around £13 million.
It is said that personal terms are already in place and the Portuguese is poised to pen a five-year contract that includes an option to extend by another year.
He will travel to the West Midlands next week to complete a medical.
Gomes began his career at Braga and went on to make 51 appearances in all competitions for the Primeira Liga side.
He was sent on loan to Estoril last season and he impressed with his performances in Lisbon.
The 20-year-old featured in 30 league games last term, scoring seven goals and creating seven assists in the process.
His performances in Portugal caught the attention of several clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Bournemouth and teams in Germany.
But Wolves have reportedly won the transfer race for the talented right-back.
