Chelsea are one of several clubs keeping an eye on Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville, according to Foot Mercato.
The 22-year-old was in exceptional form for the Yorkshire outfit last season. He finished the 2023/24 season as Leeds’ top scorer after netting 19 goals in 43 Championship games.
His creative ability was also on full display, crafting an outstanding 17 big chances while recording nine assists in the league.
Despite his phenomenal numbers, Leeds were unable to secure promotion to the Premier League, losing to Southampton in the Championship play-off final.
However, Summerville has become a hot commodity, and the competition to land his signature this summer will be fierce, with a number of Premier League clubs in the running.
Leeds are preparing to sell some of their key players to balance their books, and Summerville is their prized asset.
The Yorkshire outfit will likely demand around £30 million to sell Summerville this summer, but Chelsea are willing to match it, although they have yet to formalise their interest in the forward.
The Blues will face competition from French club Stade Rennais, who have identified the Dutchman as the ideal replacement for highly sought-after winger Desire Doue.
Doue is subject to concrete interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, and Rennes have begun making contingency plans ahead of his imminent exit.
Rennes are yet to contact Leeds regarding Summerville, but Chelsea will fancy their chances of beating the French side to the punch.
The Blues have Raheem Sterling and Mykhaylo Mudryk as options on the left flank, but both wingers struggled to live up to expectations last season.
Both managed a combined 13 Premier League goals last season, so Chelsea are looking to add more firepower on the left-wing heading into the 2024/25 campaign.
