Everton are in contact with Napoli to sign playmaker Jesper Lindstrom in the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, contacts have been made between the two clubs over the transfer of the 24-year-old midfielder.
Everton are looking to sign him on loan with the option of buying him permanently next summer.
The Toffees are not the only club to have shown interest in Lindstrom. According to reports from Italy, Aston Villa are also keen to sign him.
However, doubts remain whether Villa will move for the Danish midfielder this summer as they are close to securing the signature of Amadou Onana from Everton.
The Toffees are about to lose their talisman midfielder, and they will be looking to reinvest the money into the squad.
While Lindstrom is not a like-for-like replacement for Onana, but he will definitely add more depth and quality in the attacking midfield areas.
Everton working on multiple deals at the moment
The Toffees have already completed three signings, but more players are expected to arrive in the coming days.
Lindstrom was brilliant during his time at Brondby and Eintracht Frankfurt, but he has not been able to replicate the form for Napoli.
The Toffees must also consider that the Dane midfielder does not score enough goals and provide assists.
He would cost around £25 million, if not more, and there are plenty of quality players available in that price range.
Everton are also interested in signing Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto, but they have not made a formal offer to sign the Italian yet.
Gnonto, 20, will bring raw pace and fantastic dribbling skills to the side, and he can grow into a terrific player that everyone expects him to become.
Everton are also looking to sign Montpellier defender Becir Omeragic and could make a formal move for him shortly.
