Jayden Bogle set to sign four-year deal at Leeds United

Leeds United are close to securing their fourth signing of the summer window after reaching an agreement for Jayden Bogle.

According to reliable Telegraph reporter John Percy, the Whites have agreed a £5 million deal to sign the Sheffield United right-back.

The 23-year-old defender will undergo his medical on Saturday (20 July), and if everything goes to plan, he will become Daniel Farke’s next signing this summer.

TeamTalk claimed on 20 July that Leeds failed with two previous bids for Bogle whose contract at Bramall Lane is due to expire next summer.

The player has made it clear that he wants to join Leeds and will sign a four-year contract at Elland Road. The Blades initially valued him ar 7 million, but Leeds have managed to strike a deal less than their asking price.

Bogle has made 103 appearances for the Blades, scoring 12 times and assisting three times. He can play as an orthodox right-back or in a more advanced right midfield role.

Jayden Bogle will be smart signing from Leeds United

The Whites desperately needed to add a new right-back this summer after they sold Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur for £40 million.

Connor Roberts, who joined on loan from Burnley in January, has returned to his parent club, and it’s unclear whether Leeds will try to sign him again.

The news will come as a big relief for the Whites as they will have a recognised right-back just in time for the pre-season preparations.

Bogle has a wealth of experience playing in the Championship, and he would represent a smart signing.

In addition, Leeds have weakened a potential promotion rival next term as they themselves are also looking to return to the Premier League after losing to Southampton in the play-off final last season.

The Whites will be looking to add more players to their ranks after losing Glen Kamara this week, and have been linked with moves for Daniel Jebbison and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
