Manchester United keen on Bologna attacker Dan Ndoye

Manchester United have signalled a concrete interest in Bologna forward Dan Ndoye and are now putting pressure on him to make a summer move happen, according to Swiss outlet 4-4-2.

The Red Devils have now asked the Serie A club what it would take to sign the Switzerland international, and they have been told around €25 million can get a deal done.

Ndoye only scored three goals across all competitions for both Basel and Bologna last term, but his performances at the ongoing European Championship appear to have caught the eyes of Man United and other suitors.

Inter Milan are also keen on the 23-year-old, but it is the Red Devils who are favourites to land him from every indication should they make a firm move.

Ndoye has started all of his country’s four games at Euro 2024, bagging the goal in the 1-1 draw against Germany during the group stage campaign.

Switzerland face England in the quarter-final on Saturday, and the Bologna star will be hungry to cause the Three Lions all sorts of problems at the back after constantly terrorising German centre-back pairing Jonathan Tah and Antonio Rudiger.

His pace, dribbling, strength and strong finishing have made him a handful for defenders so far at the tournament, with one of his runs leading to Switzerland’s lead against Italy in their 2-0 victory in the round of 16, and Man United and co have taken note.

While signing a player based on a couple of good games at a tournament is not always advisable, it appears Ndoye is attracting the bigwigs to himself, and another stellar performance against England could be enough to force the Red Devils into action.

The Swiss has shown his huge potential in recent days but whether taking a punt on him will pay off is unknown, and Man United cannot afford to gamble with their signings this summer having gotten their fingers burnt constantly with plenty of uninspired recruitment since Sir Alex Ferguson left.
