Premier League pre-season friendlies: 10 teams heading to USA for warm-up games, key fixtures to watch out for

Top English clubs have started preparations for the 2024-25 campaign by arranging Premier League pre-season fixtures across the globe. 

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United will travel to Japan but ten of the top-flight teams will be doing their pre-season touring in the United States

As with last season, Manchester United’s first meeting in America will be with Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in California on July 28. 

United will play against Liverpool in their final match in the US, while the Merseyside giants and Arsenal are also scheduled to meet. 

Chelsea and Manchester City have confirmed they will participate in the Soccer Champions Tour alongside other European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan. 

Pep Guardiola’s side are scheduled to play Milan and Barcelona in the first two games, while the West Londoners will face Real Madrid in the tournament’s final fixture. 

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s American tour will see them play three matches across three different cities. 

The Midlands side will go head-to-head with Columbus Crew and RB Leipzig before closing it out against Club America on August 3. 

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are both scheduled for two pre-season friendlies in America. 

The Cherries will face Wrexham and Arsenal, while Palace will lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United.
