West Ham have agreed personal terms with French defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
The Hammers have already reached an agreement to sign the 24-year-old defender.
West Ham have offered a loan deal with the obligation of making the move permanent next summer for the Nice defender, and the deal has been agreed.
Earlier today (17 July), Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reported that the Hammers have yet to agree personal terms with the defender.
However, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update, saying that West Ham have already agreed personal terms with Todibo.
West Ham could still fail to sign the defender as Todibo wants to move to the Italian giants, Juventus. Todibo has informed Nice of his desire to play for the Old Lady and he is waiting for them to make an offer.
Romano wrote on X: “Jean-Clair Todibo has been very clear with Nice: he wants to join Juventus as priority, currently waiting for them.
“West Ham had bid accepted but they’re aware of player plan to wait for Juve, as reported earlier this morning. Personal terms already agreed.”

Jacob Steinberg has also reported that West Ham expect the defender to join Juventus even though a deal has been agreed.
Juventus can also come up with a similar proposal and hijack the transfer. West Ham previously made a strong offer to sign the player, but it was rejected.
The Hammers then moved quickly to sign Max Kilman from Wolves.
West Ham are also looking to add depth in their right-back areas, and are in advanced talks to sign Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bisssaka.
At the moment, it feels like Juventus have an advantage in the race to sign Todibo, but anything can happen in a transfer window.
