West Ham are showing keen interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
According to a report from The Times, the 27-year-old midfielder is “available” in the market, and the Hammers want to bring him to the London Stadium.
The Hammers have shown interest in the midfielder in the past, and he was the subject of a failed bid last summer.
McTominay has progressed through the youth ranks at Manchester United and has made over 250 appearances since making his senior debut in 2016.
The 52-time capped Scotland international made 43 appearances last season for the Red Devils, scoring 10 goals.
Premier League rivals Fulham are also keen to sign him, and the Cottagers have had a bid rejected.
West Ham need to pay a hefty transfer fee to land McTominay. Fulham offered less than £30 million for McTominay, so the Hammers need to pay a fee above that.
The central midfielder has a year left on his current deal, but United have the option to extend it for another year.
McTominay is not the only player West Ham are looking to sign from Man Utd. According to talkSPORT, the Hammers are in advanced talks to sign United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Daily Mail suggests that United are prepared to listen to offers for most of their players to help fund new signings, if they match their quality and value. It means there is a chance that both McTominay and Wan-Bissaka could be sold by the club.
Wan-Bissaka could cost around £15 million, and he seems like a more realistic target at the moment.
The Hammers could look to bolster the midfield this summer, but the latest news about Lucas Paqueta could change their plans.
According to another report from The Times, Paqueta is set to be available to play for West Ham for almost the entire season despite the spot-fixing charges hanging over him.
The Brazilian could face a lengthy ban that could stretch to many years but the 26-year-old is allowed to continue to play until the disciplinary process has been completed.
Paqueta has denied any wrongdoing, and he was part of the Brazil squad for the 2024 Copa America.
