West Ham are leading the race to sign Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United are not out of the race yet for the 26-year-old right-back, but the Hammers are in a strong position to secure his signature.
The Sky Germany journalist claims that West Ham have agreed a deal to sign the Morocco full-back who is keen to move to the Premier League.
The Hammers will pay a fee of around £13.6 million upfront, and £3.3 million will be paid in add-ons.
West Ham have also reached verbal agreement with the player, and they are ticking every box to secure their fourth summer signing.
Plettenberg wrote on X: “FC Bayern and West Ham have reached an agreement to sign Noussair Mazraoui!
“Transfer fee: €15,5 + €4m add-ons There’s also a verbal agreement in principle between West Ham and Mazraoui.
“But it’s not a done deal yet as important financial details about the deal have to be clarified. All parties involved now working on it. Manchester United, still there but West Ham are leading the race now.”

The right-back is one area the Hammers needed to bolster in the summer window following the departure of Ben Johnson who joined Ipswich Town for free.
The Hammers have also shown interest in signing Man Utd defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but they appear keen to land Mazraoui.
Plettenberg reported on 24 July that Bayern are more than willing to offload the defender and West Ham seem to have won the race, although they need to sort out finer financial details.
Mazraoui joined Bayern Munich from Ajax in 2022 and has made 55 appearances in all competitions over the last two seasons.
It remains to be seen if the Red Devils come up with an offer to hijack the deal. However, they first need to offload Wan-Bissaka before they can bring in a new right-back.
