Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah agrees personal terms with Forest

Arsenal sold Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham in a deal worth up to £35 million earlier this month.

Now Eddie Nketiah also looks to be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium as Nottingham Forest are closing in a move for the 25-year-old.

According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nketiah has agreed personal terms with the Tricky Trees.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are said to be confident about completing a deal soon as talks have reached an advanced stage.

The English footballer joined Arsenal’s youth academy in 2015 and made his senior debut two years later against BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

But he has failed to establish himself as an important player under manager Mikel Arteta.

The centre-forward is now deemed surplus to requirements at the club, with Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and even Leandro Trossard ahead of him in the pecking order.

Nketiah has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances across all competitions for the North London giants.

Arsenal slapped a £50 million price tag on the England international at the start of the transfer window but they may have to lower their asking fee to offload him this summer.

It has been a quiet window for the Gunners regarding arrivals as they have only signed Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna for £42m.

But the North London giants could make a marquee addition as they are reportedly back in the race for Napoli star Victor Osimhen

They are also locked in negotiations with Real Sociedad over a move for Mikel Merino.
