Celtic have had a very busy summer transfer window as they have added four new players to the squad.
Adam Idah became the latest arrival to Celtic Park from Norwich City following the signings of Viljami Sinisalo, Kasper Schmeichel and Paulo Bernardo.
Now Fabrizio Romano reports the Bhoys have completed another signing as Alex Valle has joined them on loan from Barcelona.
The reputed journalist also posted a picture of the player posing with the club’s shirt.
Valle is an academy graduate of Barcelona who has impressed with his performances for the club’s reserves.
Last season, the 20-year-old made 29 appearances in the Spanish second division while on loan at Levante. He was called up to the senior team in 2024-25 and was an unused substitute in the Catalans’ first two La Liga matches.
Valle has been brought in to provide competition for Greg Taylor, who has started their opening three league matches this season.
Celtic recently sold Matt O’Riley to Brighton & Hove Albion in a club record transfer of £30 million.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has indicated the funds would be used to bring in more players at Celtic Park before the deadline on Friday.
The Hoops have made an excellent start this campaign, comfortably beating Kilmarnock, Hibernian and St Mirren to pick up nine points from three matches.
They are now set to face arch-rivals Rangers in a blockbuster Scottish Premiership clash this weekend in Glasgow.
