Celtic midfielder Daniel Kelly is set to leave Celtic Park in the summer transfer window.
According to a report from the Daily Record (19 August, page 41), the 18-year-old is set to leave the Bhoys in the coming hours.
Celtic have accepted an offer close to £400,000 plus add-ons. He has rejected a four-year £5000-per-week deal with the Scottish champions.
The young midfielder is one of the brightest talents at the club and he is currently in London to undergo his medical within the next 48 hours.
According to Daily Mirror, the talented midfielder had agreed terms on a pre-contract agreement to join the Lions on January 1 following the conclusion of his Celtic deal.
But the two clubs have now agreed on a deal which will see the youngster leave now rather than wait for five more months.
The highly-rated young midfielder was frozen out of the first team by Brendan Rodgers, and he was playing for the Celtic B team. He has managed three goals in four games for the Celtic B side.
Kelly will become the fifth signing for the Lions if everything goes well.
Celtic, meanwhile, would be looking to add a few more players before the end of the transfer window. The Hoops signed Adam Idah from Norwich City last week, and they are looking to secure a deal for Liverpool defender Owen Beck.
Several clubs have shown interest in Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley this summer. Italian club Atalanta submitted several offers to sign the Denmark midfielder, but Celtic are refusing to negotiate unless their value is met.
It has been a frustrating summer for the boyhood Hoops fan Kelly, but he can now seal an amicable exit from Parkhead.
