Chelsea eyeing move for Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It has been another very busy transfer window at Chelsea as they have added many quality players to their squad.

The Blues most recently confirmed the signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid following the arrivals of Pedro Neto, Omari Kellyman, Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Filip Jorgensen.

However, they are still in the market for a quality striker to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson.

The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at Stamford Bridge but he needs help to share the burden.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are eyeing a move for Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Their main priority is said to be Napoli’s Victor Osimhen who is expected to leave the Serie A club before the transfer deadline.

But the Nigerian is making a huge £500,000-a-week wage demands, which would make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.

Chelsea are not expected to meet Osimhen’s extraordinary demands as they are reportedly considering alternative options.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin started the first two Premier League matches for Everton but the club’s financial situation could force them to sell the striker this summer.

The 27-year-old featured in 32 top-flight matches last season, scoring seven and assisting two goals in the process.

However, signing Calvert-Lewin could be risky for the Blues as he is very injury prone. As per Transfermarkt, he has missed 267 days due to injuries in the last two seasons.
