Crystal Palace are in talks to bring West Ham forward Maxwel Cornet to Selhurst Park on the transfer deadline day.
According to Ryan Taylor, the Eagles are in talks with West Ham to reach a loan agreement for the former Lyon attacker.
Fabrizio Romano claimed on 29 August that Southampton are close to securing a loan deal for the 27-year-old winger who is not in Julen Loptegui’s plans.
He has a contract at the London Stadium until 2027, and the Hammers are more than happy to let him go out on loan and play regular games elsewhere.
The Daily Mirror journalist wrote on X on 30 August that if both Southampton and Crystal Palace reach an agreement for Cornet, it will be up to the player to decide on the deadline day where he wants to play this season.

Can Crystal Palace hijack Southampton’s deal for Maxwel Cornet?
The Eagles are looking to add more depth to their forward department this summer, irrespective of what the future holds for Odsonne Edouard.
Palace are likely to complete the signing of Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal, and Oliver Glasner is looking to sign one more attacking midfielder before the end of the window.
They sold Michael Olise in the summer to Bayern Munich, and more quality is required in the final third, which has been highlighted in their opening two games.
Palace have signed Ismaila Sarr, but Cornet would be a fantastic risk-free signing. The Ivory Coast international is a versatile winger who can also play as a full-back.
While he failed to make a strong impact at West Ham, his overall record for Lyon and Burnley has been impressive. He is at the prime years of his career and there is no reason to believe why he can’t resurrect his career elsewhere.
Southampton are also looking to bring in some new faces on the final day of the transfer window, and they are likely to fight Palace to lure Cornet to St Mary’s.
