West Ham are close to securing double signings in the next 24 hours.
Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Fullkrug has already completed his medical and signed his contract. The announcement will be made shortly.
Now, Florian Plettenberg says that Argentine defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez has also completed his medical ahead of West Ham move.
The Sky Germany journalist wrote on X that Rodriguez has also signed his contract, and his signing is likely to be announced within the next 24 hours.
He wrote on X on 5 August: “Medical done. Contracts signed. Announcement is planned for today or tomorrow. Guido Rodriguez, new player of West Ham.”

The 30-year-old midfielder left La Liga side Real Betis last month, and therefore he will join the Hammers as a free agent.
He will become the second signing who joins the Hammers on free after Wes Foderingham.
This is turning out to be an excellent summer window for the Hammers. With those two signings considered, West Ham will have signed a goalkeeper, a centre-back, a striker, a midfielder, and an attacking midfielder.
The World Cup-winning midfielder is vastly experienced, and he could be a smart addition to the side. The Hammers struggled badly without a solid defensive midfielder as they conceded 74 goals last season.
Kalvin Phillips joined from Manchester City on loan and he proved to be a major flop at the London Stadium. Rodriguez will be a risk-free signing but he could play a pivotal role under the Spanish boss.
He likes to sit deep in front of defenders and play out simple passes, just as a typical holding midfielder does. It will be interesting to see how quickly he adapts to the new league.
