Leeds United tried a late move for Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Jesurun Rak-Sakyi over the weekend, but he is heading to Sheffield United for a medical today ahead of a season-long loan, according to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas.
The Elland Road club are looking to bolster their attacking ranks as they push for Premier League promotion again, with manager Daniel Farke desperate to get a replacement for Dutch attacker Crysencio Summerville.
Rak-Sakyi emerged as a concrete option for Leeds and they ramped up their interest in the Eagles forward over the weekend, with Burnley and Norwich City also making attempts to convince him.

However, the 21-year-old will be joining the Blades instead, and Leeds and co have to look elsewhere for the attacking reinforcement they crave.
The Whites also have Norwich forward Jonathan Rowe on their radar and have held talks with the Canaries ahead of tabling a bid of around £7 million.
Norwich want more for the England youth international, and while Marseille are also looking to snap him up, the Yorkshire club remain very much in the race.
Leeds started the 2024-25 Championship campaign with fireworks, leaving it very late to secure a 3-3 draw with newly promoted Portsmouth last Saturday at Elland Road.
They return to action on Wednesday when they host Middlesbrough in the League Cup before travelling to the Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday when league action resumes.
Farke will want more from his boys as he knows that every point counts, with their failure to finish in the top-two and secure an automatic promotion berth proving costly in the end.
Leeds need to get a quality attacker in to boost their chances of finishing stronger this term and going one better, and they need to get to work quickly as the summer transfer window deadline is drawing closer.
