Liverpool remain the only club in the Premier League who are yet to sign a new player this summer.
They have made a solid start to their new campaign, winning their opening two games comfortably and maintaining clean sheets as well.
The Reds are close to completing the signing of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili who is currently undergoing medicals. The 23-year-old keeper will not join now but next season as a part of the deal.

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have made an approach to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
The 26-year-old forward is available in the market and the Reds have made contact today. They are now exploring the conditions of the deal to sign Chiesa, who is also being targeted by Manchester United, among others.
Romano wrote on X: “Exclusive: Liverpool make initial approach for Federico Chiesa as possible option for final days.
“Chiesa, available on the market as Juve want to find a solution and Liverpool made contact today. Liverpool exploring conditions of the deal as Chiesa would be keen on PL move.”
The 26-year-old joined the Old Lady in the summer of 2020 and has since made 131 appearances across all competitions, scoring 32 goals. He was a star player for Fiorentina and has scored 66 club goals in his career.
He started 25 Serie A matches last season and has made seven appearances for the Italy national team. He can be a devastating player on his day, and ex-Italy defender Alessandro Pierini, has hailed him as “world class”.
However, his fitness remains a major issue. He picked up an anterior cruciate ligament injury in January 2022 but played full campaign last season after his recovery.
Liverpool does have Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Harvey Elliott, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nunez as options upfront, and it may feel like where Chiesa would fit in.
At the same time we have seen last season, the Reds struggle when they are light on numbers.
Chiesa will add an extra dimension to the side and could make them potential title challengers this season.
