Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka now set to have West Ham United medical tomorrow ahead of move

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to have his medical ahead of completing a move to West Ham United on Monday, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Red Devils star was scheduled to travel to London today for the medical before completing the move, but that could not happen with certain issues between him and both clubs yet to be finalised.

Everything is expected to be resolved in the coming hours, with Wan-Bissaka now expected to leave Manchester for London tomorrow to undergo his medical and join West Ham.

The Hammers and Man United have already agreed a deal worth an initial £15 million plus add-ons, and the 26-year-old will be signing a six-year contract.

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui wants to further bolster his defensive ranks after signing Max Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £40m and recruiting the services of French centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo on loan from OGC Nice, and Wan-Bissaka is set to join his ranks.

The former Crystal Palace star can play at both right-back and left-back, and his top-notch defensive qualities and experience will come very handy in a side which shipped the most goals (74) out of the clubs which finished in the top 17 in the Premier League last season.

The London Stadium club missed out entirely on Europe as a result and have gone on a recruitment spree this summer, also signing the midfield trio of Luis Guilherme, Guido Rodriguez and Crysencio Summerville, goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and Germany international striker Niclas Fullkrug.

Wan-Bissaka will be the eighth signing of West Ham in the ongoing summer transfer window, and the Englishman will be desperate to hit the ground running and prove a point.

He is leaving Man United after five seasons and will be a fine addition to the Hammers defence as Lopetegui looks to impress in his debut season in charge of the club.
