Manchester United have informed Noussair Mazraoui that a deal will be finalised to sign him this summer.
This is according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna who says the 26-year-old is waiting to leave Bayern Munich’s camp.
United have already agreed terms with the player and the club, but they need to sell Aaran Wan-Bissaka to finalise the transfer.
Wan-Bissaka was an important player for Erik ten Hag’s team last season, but with a year left on his contract, the Red Devils are prepared to cash in on him this summer.
West Ham United are pursuing a deal for the 26-year-old who is reportedly keen on a move to the East London outfit.
The Hammers have yet to agree a fee for the English footballer but that may not be a big issue with the Manchester giants actively looking to sell him.
Mazraoui, who is highly rated for his pace and energy, would be an excellent addition for United who will be looking to make a big comeback in 2024-25.
Erik ten Hag’s side have already made two signings this summer, with Leny Yoro arriving from Lille and Joshua Zirkzee joining them from Bologna.
However, they still need reinforcements in defence and midfield. That’s why they are looking to offload players to raise funds for new recruits.
Apart from Wan-Bissaka, the Red Devils are also understood to be open to offers for Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Victor Lindelof and Antony.
They are struggling to offload Casemiro as there is said to be little interest in the Brazilian player due to his high wages.
McTominay has been linked with Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, despite the Scotland international’s important role in Ten Hag’s team last term.
Lindelof’s future at Old Trafford has also been uncertain as he has entered the final year of his contract.
Meanwhile, Antony has proved to be a huge disappointment for United so far and they are prepared to send him on loan in 2024-25.
