West Ham United are in the running to sign Chelsea attacking midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka on loan ahead of the transfer deadline later tonight, according to the Guardian.
The ‘clinical’ winger wants more playing chances and could struggle to get them under new manager Enzo Maresca, and a move to join the Hammers on loan could appeal to him.
West Ham have agreed a deal in principle to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler, and it is unknown whether they will be able to sign him and Chukwuemeka.

Joining the Hammers would be hugely beneficial to his development, with sporting director Tim Steidten a huge fan of the 20-year-old Chelsea forward.
West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui wants to further bolster his attacking ranks despite already signing Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug so far this summer, and adding Chukwuemeka to the squad will be huge.
The former Aston Villa winger has played 27 games for the Blues since joining them in the summer of 2022, with two goals and one assist to his name.
The 6ft 2in Chukwuemeka can also play as a centre midfielder, in defensive midfield, behind the striker and as a striker, and West Ham could do with such a versatile and talented player within their ranks.
The former England youth international has huge potential but needs regular football to prove himself, and that chance could be available at West Ham.
Hammers midfielder James Ward-Prowse is set to join Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season, while Crystal Palace and Southampton are both looking to snap up Maxwel Cornet, and West Ham could still do a few more business, with further departures and arrivals expected before the 11pm transfer deadline today.
