West Ham willing to listen to offers for James Ward-Prowse

West Ham could remain busy in the final few days of the summer transfer window.

The Hammers have signed as many as nine players this summer, with Julen Lopetegui wasting no time in stamping his own authority after taking over from David Moyes.

West Ham are in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler and they are looking to bring in one more player to their ranks.

Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports claimed that West Ham could offload several players to free up space for potential new arrivals. Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet are likely to leave.

However, the Hammers could also sell midfielder James Ward-Prowse before the 30 August deadline.

According to Dharmesh Sheth, West Ham could be willing to listen to offers for the 29-year-old midfielder.

Ward-Prowse remains an integral part of the squad, and the Hammers are not actively looking to sell him.

At the same time, they are also not fully determined to keep him at the club at all costs and could let him go if the player wants. He has three years left on his current deal.

The England midfielder was an unused substitute at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The 29-year-old joined West Ham in the summer of 2023 after making 410 appearances for Southampton, scoring 55 goals.

He scored seven goals in 51 games for the Hammers in his first season at the club. It would be really surprising if West Ham decide to let him go.

Moyes hailed him as a “world class” player last season, but it is unclear whether he features prominently in Lopetegui’s plans going forward.

In case West Ham make him available for transfer, he won’t have a shortage of admirers in the Premier League. The next few days could be really interesting for the Hammers, as there could still be a few ins and outs.
