Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a quiet transfer window so far regarding arrivals.
They have already confirmed the signings of Jorgen Strand Larsen, Tommy Doyle, Rodrigo Gomes and Pedro Lima but more reinforcements are needed.
The Midlands side recently lost Pedro Neto to Chelsea in a deal worth up to £54 million. They are now seeking a quality replacement for the Portuguese.
According to Voetbal International, Wolves are eyeing a move for Ajax’s Carlos Forbs.
The Old Gold haven’t made an official offer for the 20-year-old but it seems a matter of time before they make a move.
Forbs, who has a contract with the Dutch giants until 2028, is said to be willing to move to the Premier League club.
The talented winger joined Ajax last summer in a £17.3 deal from Manchester City (per BBC). He hit the ground running at the Johan Cruyff Arena, making 34 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals.
Forbs mainly plays as a left winger and is highly rated for his electric pace and superb dribbling skills.
He could be a smart acquisition for Wolves as he offers youth, pace and attacking flair. They could also hope to sign the 20-year-old on a bargain fee from Ajax.
Gary O’Neil’s side lost their Premier League opener 2-0 to Arsenal on Saturday, with Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz scoring for the Gunners.
The defeat highlighted Wolves’ need for reinforcements in attack as they failed to score a single goal.
