£15m star set for debut as Isak misses out – Predicted Newcastle XI vs Fulham

Newcastle United have made an excellent start to the 2024-25 campaign despite an underwhelming summer transfer window.

They have picked up 10 points from their opening four matches, beating Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Eddie Howe’s men looked in trouble last weekend against Wolves when they conceded a goal in the first-half at the Molineux Stadium.

However, a late comeback saw Fabian Schar and Harvey Barnes scoring to seal an excellent away success.

Newcastle will now take on Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday, and victory against the Cottagers will see them top of the standings ahead of Arsenal’s game with Manchester City.

Predicted Newcastle XI vs Fulham

Nick Pope played a major role in Newcastle’s victory last weekend as he pulled off two outstanding saves. The England international will be hoping for a similar impact this Saturday against Fulham.

In front of the experienced goalkeeper, Eddie Howe is expected to name the same backline comprising Tino Livramento, Fabian Schar, Dan Burn and Lewis Hall.

In midfield, Sandro Tonali could finally be handed a Premier League start after being featured off the bench last time out. Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton should keep their first-team berths.

Elsewhere in attack, we are expecting some big changes by the English boss. Alexander Isak’s availability is doubtful after he picked up a toe injury, and so Anthony Gordon could start in his place. Meanwhile, Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes should play on the wings.

William Osula, who joined the Magpies this summer in a £15 million deal, is yet to make his debut for the Tyneside club. However, fans could see him in action as he is likely to be featured off the bench by Howe.

Predicted XI: Pope; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Murphy, Gordon, Barnes
