Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory against Brentford on Saturday in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has been in tremendous form at the moment, having scored nine goals in four games already.
Tim Sherwood was heavily impressed with the goal machine after he scored his second goal that sealed all three points for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Commenting on Soccer Saturday for Sky Sports, Sherwood hailed Haaland as “magnificent”.
“Absolutely magnificent. It’s clever. Onside. He stops his run, boom at that,” said Sherwood.
Manchester City are setting the pace already
The Premier League champions have once again found a way to pick up a win, and they have picked up four wins from their opening four games.
They have managed to take a healthy three-point lead over Liverpool who have suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday.
Haaland has been outstanding this season, and has picked up two hattricks already. He netted his first hat-trick against Ipswich Town, and followed it up with another hat-trick against West Ham.
Brentford took the lead inside the opening minute Yoane Wissa headed into an empty net from close range. Ederson made a terrible mistake in attempting to clear Keane Lewis-Potter’s nod-back.

If there is a golden rule book of what not to do against Manchester City, the first point should be – never score an early goal. It took City, erm Haaland, only 32 minute to change the mood of the game, as he scored two brilliant goals.
Haaland came close to becoming the fifth-ever player in English top-flight history to have scored a hat-trick in three consecutive games. However, that didn’t happen despite Guardiola opting to play him throughout the game.
City will start their Champions League campaign against Inter Milan on Wednesday.
