Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed an excellent summer transfer window as they brought in the likes of Archie Gray, Dominic Solanke and Lucas Begvall.
They also did an impressive job offloading fringe players, with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal and Oliver Skipp all departing the club.
However, Spurs could still move on players to reduce their wage bill despite the Premier League transfer window closing on August 30.
According to the Mirror (September 8, Page 69), Tottenham want to send Sergio Regulion to Turkey with the Super Lig transfer window still open.
It is said the 27-year-old ‘will face months in the wilderness’ if he stays in North London.
Reguilon joined the Lilywhites from Real Madrid in a deal worth up to £32 million in 2020.
However, he has failed to make a big impact in the Premier League, making 67 appearances across all competitions and scoring two goals.
He spent the first-half of last season at Manchester United before joining Brentford for the remainder of the campaign.
His future in London remained a source of speculation throughout the summer but the English club failed to find a buyer for him.
Reguilon hasn’t featured for Spurs since April 2022 when he played in the 1-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.
He is clearly not in the plans of manager Ange Postecoglou and it would be best for all parties if he ends up leaving soon.
The 27-year-old can hope to revive his career elsewhere, and Tottenham could get an unwanted player off their books.
