What Liverpool fans sang at Old Trafford after win v Man Utd

Liverpool picked up their third win in as many games in the Premier League as they made a flying start under Arne Slot.

The Dutchman became the first Liverpool manager to win his first meeting with Manchester United since Bob Paisley in 1975 as the Reds earned a convincing 3-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday.

George Kay was the last Liverpool manager to have won his first game against the Red Devils at Old Trafford way back in 1936. Needless to say, this is a huge boost for Slot and the Reds, as they can build on the momentum from here on.

Plenty of Manchester United fans left the game early after Mohamed Salah scored the third goal. The Old Trafford stadium, known for their boisterous fan support, was outsung by the travelling Liverpool fans.

Miguel Delaney of The Independent wrote on X that the away fans mocked Erik ten Hag by signing “Ten Hag’s at the wheel”.

Luis Diaz scored twice in the first half and Salah added another in the second as the Reds outplayed their opponent on Sunday afternoon.

The home side started the game brilliantly, but they lost shape and composure after Liverpool scored the opening goal, thanks to a huge error from Casemiro.

The Brazilian was at fault for the second goal as well, and he was taken off at half-time. A world-class player in his own right, Casemiro has clearly failed to adjust himself to the pace and physicality of the Premier League.

The scoreline could have been a lot different had Liverpool been more clinical. Slot will be extremely pleased with the performance of his team with Liverpool keeping clean sheets in all the games they’ve played so far.

The Reds have been defensively solid at the back, and they maintained a strong midfield shape throughout the game, with Ryan Gravenberch making a strong impact once again.
