Big injury boost as Calafiori starts – Predicted Arsenal XI vs Paris Saint-Germain

Arsenal will return to Champions League action on Tuesday night as they welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates Stadium for a blockbuster game.

The Gunners secured maximum points in their previous Premier League match against Leicester City but they were made to work really hard for the 4-2 home success

James Justin’s second-half double levelled the scores at 2-2 after the North Londoners’ first-half supremacy, and it looked Leicester were close to sealing an excellent draw before Wilfred Ndidi’s own-goal in stoppage-time.

Arsenal will now be aiming to win against PSG who will be without key player Ousmane Dembele.

Predicted Arsenal XI vs Paris Saint-Germain

David Raya has been excellent for his team this season and the Spaniard is expected to continue between the sticks this week.

Riccardo Calafiori has returned to training after a minor injury scare. The 22-year-old is in line to start at left-back, with Jurrien Timber playing on the right.

The central defensive pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should also remain the same on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey wasn’t entirely convincing against Leicester last time but we are still expecting him to start alongside Declan Rice in midfield.

Further forward, Leandro Trossard is set to keep his number 10 position after an excellent display in his previous outing for the Gunners.

Bukayo Saka is a guaranteed starter on the right wing, with Gabriel Martinelli featuring on the left.

Kai Havertz, who has scored four goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season, is poised to continue as a false 9.

Predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Partey; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli; Havertz.
