Celtic secured a valuable point away from home in their Champions League game against Atalanta on Wednesday night, playing out a goalless draw with the Serie A club to make it four points from their opening three games of the group phase of the elite European competition.
The Hoops were looking to bounce back from their 7-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on matchday two, and they put in a solid defensive display against the Italians.
Celtic were brilliant at the back, with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel making some brilliant saves, while centre-back duo Auston Trusty and Liam Scales were also on top of their game to shut out Atalanta.
Chris Sutton was impressed with the performance of the aforementioned Hoops trio, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to shower praise on them after the game.
No celebrating a draw like others do… but a brave, organised defensive display from Celtic.. Schmeichel a top class goalkeeper and some of the last ditch defending was excellent from Trusty and Scales. A bit of pragmatism from Brendan Rodgers playing Idah up top👏👏☘️

Celtic were only limited to 35% of the possession, but they bravely defended and ensured they left Italy with their heads held high.
It was a far better performance from their heavy loss to Dortmund earlier this month, and manager Brendan Rodgers will be looking forward to a similar defensive display when they host RB Leipzig and Club Bruges in November.
The point secured today may prove very crucial at the end of the group phase, and finishing in the top-24 and qualifying for the play-offs for the knockout stages will be huge for Celtic.
The Bhoys are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Fir Park to take on Motherwell, and they will look to continue their impressive start to the domestic campaign by leaving with all three points.
