Crystal Palace will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday (27 October) at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles are one of the four clubs in the Premier League that have yet to win a game this season.
Oliver Glasner, who guided Palace to an incredible run towards the end of last season, is under a lot of pressure at the moment, but he retains the support of Palace hierarchy.
Palace are running low on confidence at the moment, but this is also a brilliant opportunity for them to use the London derby as a motivation to bounce back.
The news coming out of the Tottenham camp ahead of the game would further boost the Eagles.
Tottenham are set to be without their talisman skipper
Fresh from securing a 1-0 win against AZ Alkmaar, their seventh win in the last eight games, Spurs are gradually proving to be a force under Ange Postecoglou.
The north London club will be without Son Heung-Min for this game. Postecoglou confirmed in the press conference that the 32-year-old forward is still not fully fit.
The South Korean international will not train on Friday and is “unlikely” to play in the weekend’s clash against Palace.
Postecoglou said: “Sonny’s still not right, still not feeling 100%. He won’t train today, so he’s unlikely for this weekend and we’ll see after that.”
Crystal Palace must stay solid at the back
Palace have conceded 11 goals already, and they must stay strong at the back and concede any silly goal.
Glasner could tweak his formation for this game. He must have realised that something needs to change for his side to click.
If Palace can frustrate Spurs and not allow them to play to their strengths, they might have a chance to get something from this game.
It’s going to be a really difficult game for the Eagles considering that Spurs do have loads of top-quality players. But Palace defenders will be relieved that they won’t have to worry about Son for this game.
