Leeds will welcome £10m windfall for loan star Rasmus Kristensen – View

The rumours emerging from Germany over the past few days indicate Eintracht Frankfurt are happy with Leeds United star Rasmus Kristensen, who is on loan with the Bundesliga outfit.

The Dane has been an integral part of Die Adler’s exciting start to the Bundesliga campaign as they sit pretty in third place on the log, only a point away from Bayern Munich at the summit.

Kristensen has started all six Bundesliga fixtures this term, including their pulsating 3-3 draw against the league leaders. The 27-year-old has been sensational in Germany, enjoying this new lease of life under Dino Toppmoller.

Those performances have led to premature rumours that Frankfurt are ready to buy him permanently only a few months into what was agreed to be a season-long loan. The reports claim the Eagles will offer between £8-£10 million for the right-back.

Kristensen had a torrid in Elland Road following his £10 million transfer from RB Salzburg in 2022. He was part of the squad that crashed back down to the Championship that season before spending last term on loan at AS Roma. It was a tumultuous campaign for the Giallorossi. He has found stability and will be eager to stay in Frankfurt.

CEO of Leeds United Angus Kinnear will likely welcome offers for Kristensen. Given the recent developments and Kristensen’s impressive performances in the Bundesliga, Leeds would be more than happy to accept a £10 million offer from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Dane’s resurgence has provided a much-needed boost to his career and showcased his value in a competitive league. The sum would allow Leeds to break even and move on.

With Kristensen’s recent loan spell proving fruitful, a sale now would make financial sense for the Premier League club before his value dwindles.

The funds generated should go into strengthening other areas in January for another Premier League promotion push. Leeds already have Jayden Bogle and Sam Bryam holding down the right-back spot.
