Liverpool receive Conor Bradley injury boost ahead of Carabao clash v Brighton

Liverpool will travel to Amex Stadium to face Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Both teams have lost just one match in all competitions so far, and it is going to be a cracking contest.

The Reds are heading into this game after a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League. Brighton also drew 2-2 against Wolves.

Ahead of the match, Arne Slot has delivered the latest team news, and Liverpool fans should be happy with what he said.

The Reds boss has confirmed that right-back Conor Bradley has returned to training and could be in the squad to face Brighton.

Diogo Jota missed the previous two games with a rib injury and won’t be back before the next international break. Alisson, Federico Chiesa, and Harvey Elliott are also out injured.

“Conor [Bradley] is training with us again so maybe he could be in the squad [for Wednesday’s trip to Brighton in the EFL Cup],” Slot said.

“Jota not, Alisson not, Harvey Elliott not and Federico [Chiesa] not.”

Liverpool receive Conor Bradley injury boost

Bradley picked up an injury whilst on international duty and hasn’t played since.

The 21-year-old has managed only 75 minutes of Premier League appearances and played the full 90 minutes in the previous League Cup game against West Ham.

He is one of the brightest young talents at the club, and it’s a huge boost for the Reds to get him back.

Trent Alexander-Arnold needs rest, and Slot can use Bradley in his place without hampering the quality of the squad.

However, it will be interesting to see whether Bradley is fully fit to start. Otherwise, Slot will probably ask Joe Gomez to start, while Jarrell Quansah could feature as well.

Slot has already hinted that he will rotate his squad for this game, and Wataru Endo is likely to start in midfield.
