Mohamed Salah will return to Liverpool early from Egypt camp

Liverpool boss Arne Slot will be delighted to see three of his key players have been released from their national team squads.

Virgil van Dijk received a red card during the 1-1 draw against Hungary, so he will miss the upcoming game against Germany.

He has been released by the national team, and the Dutchman can return to Liverpool quickly. He will get the much-needed rest this week, which will come as a huge boost for Slot ahead of Liverpool’s tough fixtures.

According to a report from The Mirror, Mohamed Salah will also return to Anfield. He was granted permission to return after it was confirmed he would not feature for Egypt against Mauritania.

The Egyptian coach, Hossam Hassan, said he was concerned about the pitch’s quality and also feared Salah would be hurt.

Curtis Jones has left the England camp due to “personal reasons”.

Getting the trio back fully fit is a massive boost for Liverpool

Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table, but can they mount a serious title challenge under Slot? The next few games will give us a definite clue.

The Reds will face in-form Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, and Aston Villa along with their Champions League games in their next few games, and the results will largely determine their potential to be in a title race this season.

Salah has been sensational for Liverpool this season. The “world-class” forward has scored six goals and provided five assists in all competitions so far, and getting him fresh will be a welcome relief for the Reds manager.

Likewise, Van Dijk has been outstanding for the Reds as well. The Liverpool captain has been superb so far, and Slot will be very pleased to get the trio back so early.

Meanwhile, both Salah and Van Dijk are in the final year of their contracts at Liverpool, and as of now, there is no indication that they will sign new deals.
