Leeds United defender produced an impressive performance for his country as Wales secured a 1-0 win over Montenegro in the UEFA Nations League game on Monday night.
The Whites defender joined permanently in the summer transfer window from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal that saw Archie Gray moving the other way.
Rodon was outstanding for Leeds on loan last season, and it was a no-brainer for the Whites to get him back to Elland Road permanently.
The 26-year-old did really well in the previous game, a 2-1 win against Iceland, but he took his game to another level on Monday night.
He was the real star for Wales, along with Harry Wilson, and Wales Online was heavily impressed by his performance.
How national media rated Joe Rodon performance for Wales
The Wales media was blown away by his consistency as the Leeds centre-back delivered yet another strong performance.
They add that he rarely lets the team down and was “terrific” on the night. He was given an 8/10 rating for his outstanding effort.
Wales Online wrote: “Been in top form for his club and continued that at Cardiff City Stadium. So rarely lets you down. A top operator and another terrific performance. Some big interventions late on.”
Joe Rodon absolutely vital for Leeds United this season
The Whites centre-back put in a defensive masterclass on the night, making two tackles and as many as six clearances, as Wales managed a clean sheet.
He registered 87 passes with an enviable 95.4% accuracy, more than any other Wales player on the pitch, as per whoscored.com.
Rodon is absolutely vital for Leeds, and Daniel Farke will hope that he can maintain this impressive form for the rest of the season.
The Whites are missing several key players due to injuries, and therefore Rodon’s steady presence at the back has become so crucial.
He has made nine starts in the Championship so far but hasn’t been at his best, managing only 0.6 tackles per game.
Leeds are fifth in the Championship table with 16 points after nine games, three points behind league leaders Sunderland.
