Celtic will face Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
The Bhoys have been in terrific form this season, having won nine out of the nine games they have played in all competitions so far.
Ahead of the match, Dortmund manager Nuri Sahin has showered heaps of praise on Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi.
Sahin says that he is a “big fan” of the Japanese striker, and feels he can be a huge danger for Dortmund in this game.
The Dortmund boss said: “If you really want to name one, i’m a big fan of the striker. Furuhashi, I hope I have said the name right, is not a typical striker.
“We are used to playing against big strikers but he is very smart. I really like the player, how he moves off the ball, the timing of his runs, and I see a tactical, very smart guy there.”
Kyogo Furuhashi key player for Celtic
The Bhoys are rocking in the domestic competitions, and they won 5-1 against Slovan Bratislava in their opening Champions League game.
On the other hand, Dortmund have made a stuttering start to the season, but last season’s Champions League runners-up can be a dangerous opponent.
It is arguably the biggest game of the season so far for Celtic, and if they come away with a point here (a victory would be monumental), it would represent a massive step in the right direction.
Celtic bolstered their strike department in the summer by signing Adam Idah from Norwich City, but Kyogo is still the first-choice striker for Rodgers.
Kyogo is not only a smart player and also someone who always performs in big games. During the summer window, Kyogo was linked with a move to Manchester City, but the deal didn’t materialise in the end.
If he keeps on performing at a high level, Pep Guardiola could make a renewed attempt in the January window.
