Predicted Liverpool XI vs RB Leipzig as Arne Slot makes two changes

Liverpool travel to the Red Bull Arena to take on RB Leipzig in Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

The Reds have made an excellent start to their European campaign and will head to Saxony looking to maintain their 100% start.

Liverpool have made light work of Serie A giants AC Milan and their Italian counterparts Bologna. They now have Leipzig firmly in their line of sight and will fancy their chances of making it three wins from as many games.

Having taken six points from a possible six, Liverpool will take on Leipzig brimming with confidence, especially after their 2-1 Premier League win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Curtis Jones was fouled by Levi Colwill. Nicolas Jackson restored parity, but the reprieve barely lasted minutes as Jones snatched three points for the Reds.

The win over Chelsea cemented Liverpool’s position at the Premier League summit, but their victory came at a cost as Diogo Jota was forced off with an injury after half an hour.

That setback rules him out of Wednesday’s Champions League clash, and he joins Alisson, Conor Bradley, Federico Chiesa, and Harvey Elliott on the sidelines.

In his absence, Darwin Nunez could be given the nod while Luis Diaz replaces Cody Gakpo on the left flank.

Jones’ performance against Chelsea got an 8.2 match rating on Sofascore, which gives Arne Slot a massive headache heading into the midweek showdown.

The England international will be keen to build on his impressive display and could retain his spot in the XI, with Alexis Mac Allister starting the game on the bench.

Here’s how Liverpool could line up against Leipzig on Wednesday evening.

Predicted Liverpool Starting Line-up vs RB Leipzig

(4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones; Luis Diaz, Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah; Darwin Nunez.
