There is a growing concern with the way Rangers centre-back Robin Propper seems unable to complete a full match

There is a growing concern with the way Rangers centre-back and summer arrival Robin Propper seems unable to complete a full 90 minutes, according to the Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old joined Rangers from Eredivisie club FC Twente in August and has featured in 13 games across all competitions so far, starting 12 of them.

However, Propper has only finished seven of those games where he was named in the starting XI, and there seems to be an inability for him to play a full 90 minutes.

While he has had some solid games for Rangers, particularly impressing in the 2-0 victory away at Malmo in the Europa League last month, the Dutchman had a day to forget against St Mirren striker Toyosi Olusanya in the 2-1 win on Sunday, getting withdrawn after 61 minutes as a result.

The Bears’ defence immediately looked more secure once he was removed, and there is a sense of inevitability that he will not be able to go the distance in whatever match he plays.

Rangers travel to Pittodrie Stadium tonight to face joint league leaders Aberdeen in their tenth game of the 2024-25 Scottish Premiership season tonight, and they will be desperate to close down the six points between them.

Light Blues manager Philippe Clement knows he has to field his best team, and it will be interesting to see whether he will stick with Propper in the starting XI or if the Dutchman will finish the game if he starts.

Rangers have found it difficult to challenge Celtic this term and they could even struggle to finish in the top-two given the form of the Dons.

They need better players if they are to win the Premiership title anytime soon, and while Propper is decent, his recent lack of durability could be a cause of alarm for the club.
