Everton will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways when they face West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday (9 November) in the Premier League.
The five-game unbeaten run ended for the Toffees last week as they lost 1-0 against Southampton at St Mary’s.
They are up against West Ham who are struggling badly in the Premier League.
The Hammers have managed only two wins in their last eight Premier League games in all competitions, and they are heading into the fixture on the back of a demoralising 3-0 loss against Nottingham Forest.
Julen Lopetegui is under a lot of pressure at the moment, and reports have emerged that the Hammers will review their stance if West Ham lose against Everton on Saturday.
Both sides need to win, but David Moyes and Gary Neville think that it will be a draw.
What Moyes and Neville predicted about West Ham v Everton
Moyes was the guest on The Overlap podcast, and he made some good observations on Everton ahead of this fixture.
The former West Ham boss said: “Everton aren’t easy to beat because I know they lost 1-0 to Southampton, but normally they are hard to play against.”
Roy Keane added: “So that means West Ham all day. West Ham need a result, don’t they?”
In the end, both Neville and Moyes went with a 2-2 draw for this fixture.
A draw won’t be a bad result
Both teams will be looking to avoid a defeat before the international break, and they would probably be happy with a draw.
Will it be enough to keep Lopetegui in the job? Failing to beat Everton at home will not please the fans, and the atmosphere could become toxic if they lose the game.
Everton are 16th in the table with nine points, thanks to their dreadful start to the season. They have managed only one win away from Goodison Park and conceded nine times.
Dyche’s team selection has come into question recently, but he will be boosted by the return of two key players.
