Everton eye swoop for AC Milan winger Samu Chukwueze

Everton are reportedly following AC Milan winger Samu Chukwueze and are eyeing a move for the rapid Nigerian international. According to Fotomac, he wants out of Milan and could join the Toffees.

Chukwueze has shown flashes of brilliance during his two-year stint with the seven-time Champions League winners but has struggled to nail down a starting berth with Christian Pulisic ahead of him in the pecking order for the right flank.

Milan boss Paulo Fonseca will likely point to his poor end product as a reason for making him the second choice. Pulisic has already produced seven goals and five assists in 15 appearances for the Serie A side.

Meanwhile, Chukwueze has only managed one goal and an assist. His dribbling is exciting, and he can bamboozle defenders with his fleet-footedness, but he doesn’t always seem to make the right decisions after those mazy dribbles, leaving fans frustrated.

The former Villarreal man reportedly wants a team where he can start games consistently, and Everton have stepped forward for his signature.

However, they will not be alone in the Chukwueze, with Turkish giants Besiktas eager to add him to their ranks. They are already ten points behind table-toppers Galatasaray and will be keen on signing players to help them close that gap.

Per the report, he is leaning towards joining Besiktas due to the presence of fellow Nigerian international teammate Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan to Galatasaray from Napoli.

Everton winger Jesper Lindstrom is currently on loan, and there are no plans to make the deal permanent. Everton might turn to Chukwueze to fill the void.

The 25-year-old is a direct threat and can give the Toffees another dimension in attack. If Everton manager Sean Dyche can get him firing on all cylinders, he could be a top acquisition that serves the club for years.
