Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Southampton want Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson in January

Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson is on the radar of Premier League quartet Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Southampton ahead of the January transfer window, according to the Sun.

The 32-year-old has yet to feature for the Magpies in 2024-25 due to an injury he sustained in pre-season, but he is nearing a return and rival clubs are monitoring his situation.

Wilson is open-minded to leaving Newcastle having found himself behind Sweden international striker Alexander Isak in the pecking order.

The Toons star, dubbed ‘incredible’ by manager Eddie Howe, is out of contract next summer, and the club could be open to cashing in on him in January instead of watching him leave for free at the end of the campaign.

Frequent injury woes over the years have limited his involvement with the first-team, and selling him could make plenty of sense.

Brentford are still looking to replace Ivan Toney, while Fulham have cash to splash when the transfer window re-opens.

Wilson could prefer going to a club where he can play regularly, and a move to struggling Southampton could appeal to him.

The Saints are without a win in nine Premier League games this term, and landing the Newcastle star could make all the difference in their relegation battle.

With 47 goals in 95 Premier League games for the Magpies, Wilson brings much-needed experience and quality to the table for any club in the English top-flight, and more suitors could join the aforementioned quartet in the race for his services in January.
