Liverpool will face Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday at Anfield.

Liverpool have won six games in a row, and they are brimming in confidence after beating Real Madrid 2-0 in the Champions League in midweek.
Over the years, this fixture has generated huge attention, mainly because of the quality the two sides possess, and this one won’t be an exception either.
City are winless in their last six games in all competitions, losing five of them. But Pep Guardiola’s side cannot be underestimated.
Liverpool have taken a healthy eight-point lead at the top, and they can extend their gap with City to 11 points with a crucial win on Sunday.
Injury blows to key players
Ahead of the match, the Reds camp has been hit by double injury blows. Already, they are missing the likes of Diogo Jota and Alisson, it appears that both Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate will be missing this fixture.
Konate has been superb this season alongside Virgil van Dijk. The 25-year-old picked up an injury against Madrid, but the extent of it was unknown.
The defender has shared on Instagram that he is set for a spell on the sidelines.
“So frustrating to pick up this injury right at the end of a great game on Wednesday night,” Konate wrote in a post on Instagram on Friday.
“Now we start the recovery process but one thing I promise is I will come back and be the best I can be once again.
“Thank you for the amazing support at Anfield. Inshallah we will keep going and I will support the team every step of the way.”
Arne Slot should use Joe Gomez
The Reds boss has said time and again that Liverpool have such a good squad that there’s always a quality player available if there’s an injury crisis.
Slot has to choose between Joe Gomez and Jarrell Quansah, and he must go with the versatile England centre-back.
The 27-year-old defender is in his 10th year at Anfield, and he is vastly experienced. The England defender has played against City before, and he knows what it requires to handle the pressure against a quality opponent.
Gomez, who is on £85k-per-week wages, has made eight appearances this season, but he is yet to start in the Premier League.
He played 45 minutes against Brighton in the Premier League earlier this month, and he was superb. Slot hailed him as “outstanding” after that performance, and therefore, he must bring him into the side for this massive game.
Bradley is also expected to be out for four weeks. Trent Alexander-Arnold has fully recovered, and he should be able to start at right-back.
