Kevin Nolan raves about ‘unbelievable’ Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson

Crystal Palace secured a 2-2 draw away from Selhurst Park in a crucial Premier League clash against Wolves on Saturday (2 November) in the Premier League.

The Eagles missed two gilt-edged chances in the first half, with Trevoh Chalobah and Jean-Philippe Mateta both missing from close range.

In the second half, Chalobah scored the opening goal from close range to put Palace upfront.

Wolves came back strongly with two quick goals to make it 2-1. But Marc Guehi scored from close range to earn a point for the visitors.

In the second half, Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson made a sensational save to deny Pablo Sarabia from point-blank range.

It was a great move from Wolves, but Henderson came out of his line quickly to keep Palace in the game.

The Mail on Sunday was impressed by Henderson’s performance, and they gave him a 7.5/10 rating.

Kevin Nolan, who was commenting on the game for BBC Sports Live 5, described the save as “unbelievable” as the ball hit his face.

Nolan said: “What an unbelievable save from Dean Henderson. He does so well to get out off his line and in the face of Pablo Sarabia and put him off. He makes himself big and takes one in the face for it.”

It was really an incredible save from Henderson who is now the first-choice keeper at Selhurst Park. Matheus Cunha found Sarabia inside the box with a delightful pass, and he had only Henderson to beat.

The former Manchester United keeper was brave enough to come off the line. It was a powerful strike, and the ball smashed his face. It was a painful blow for Henderson, but he did manage to keep it out somehow.

Palace would be really disappointed with the result as Oliver Glasner will feel that the goal in the 96th minute from Mateta should have stood.
