Man United manager Ruben Amorim heaps praise on Mazraoui after excellent performance v Bodo/Glimt

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim earned his first win at the club as they came back from 2-1 to defeat Bodo/Glimt 3-2. The Red Devils showed character to turn the tie around.

United initially took the lead through Alejandro Garnacho in the first minute. However, the Norwegian club turned the tide with two goals in quick succession.

Unfortunately for Bodo/Glimt, the Premier League giants fired back through striker Rasmus Hojlund, who bagged a brace to earn his side crucial three points.

One player who stood out for United yesterday was defender Noussair Mazraoui, who continues to deliver excellent performances week in and week out.

The 27-year-old assisted Hojlund despite playing as one of the three centre-backs in the rearguard. The Moroccan international was a constant threat to the opposition.

Defensively, he was superb, winning six of his seven duels. He made three clearances, won five tackles, and played three key passes. His manager was particularly impressed with his performance.

“Noussair Mazraoui is an incredible player,Amorim said (via Fabrizio Romano). He is our future. He always seems fresh, even if we have to be careful with all the matches. He is the kind of player we need.”

The former Ajax man has proven good value for money spent and looks like the best bit of business Man United did under former manager Erik ten Hag.

He has been stellar in the Premier League this season, winning 68% of his duels while providing one assist and helping the club keep two clean sheets. He has also shown immense versatility, performing admirably well at centre-back, left-back, and right-back.

Mazraoui looks just as good as Aaron Wan-Bissaka defensively and edges the now West Ham United man offensively.

Next, Man United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in the Premier League looking to seal their first three league points under the Portuguese tactician. Mazraoui will surely play a crucial role against the Toffees.
