Prospective Everton owner Dan Friedkin sacks AS Roma manager Ivan Juric after eight league games following earlier Daniele de Rossi dismissal

Soon-to-be Everton owner Dan Friedkin has sacked AS Roma manager Ivan Juric after eight league games following the earlier dismissal of Daniele de Rossi back in September.

The American businessman parted with De Rossi following three draws and a defeat in their opening four Serie A games of 2024-25, and Juric did not fare better in the eight matches he managed, winning thrice, losing four and drawing once.

Friedkin has proven that he is not afraid to pull the trigger, and it could be bad news for Everton manager Sean Dyche.

The Toffees have just two wins in 11 Premier League games so far this term, losing five and drawing four, and while Farhad Moshiri cannot sack Dyche right now, the incoming owner may not hesitate if things do not change after his arrival.

Friedkin is due to arrive at Everton in December, and the boss may need to impress him right away with some good results if he wants to hold on to his job.

There are some good managers currently out of job, and they will not hesitate to throw their hats into the ring if Dyche is fired.

The Goodison Park club could do with better players without a doubt, and while Friedkin could look to make some recruitment in January, he could be tempted to do that with a new manager in charge.

Everton are 16th in the Premier League table, with just three points separating them from the drop zone, and the incoming owner cannot afford to see them go down a few months into his reign.

The onus will be on Dyche to get his boys firing on all cylinders after the international break as his soon-to-be boss will be far from happy with the situation of things right now, and not many will be shocked if he is fired shortly after the new owner arrives.
