Rangers will face Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
The Gers have suffered two defeats in their last five Scottish Premiership games, and they are nine points behind both Celtic and Aberdeen at the top.
Ahead of their game, Rangers have suffered a major injury blow.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement has confirmed that Neraysho Kasanwirjo will be out for a long spell on the sidelines.
The 22-year-old defender injured himself after coming on as a substitute for the Netherlands Under-21 side against England.
The Bears fans were fearing the worst, and now their fears have come true, as Clement has confirmed the midfielder “for sure” will be out for a long time.
The Dutchman will visit a surgeon today, but the extent of the injury is still unknown.
Neraysho Kasanwirjo injury is a big blow for Rangers
Clement said on Friday, as quoted by Rangers Review: “Kasanwirjo is going to have an appointment with a surgeon today, and we will have more news over the weekend – for sure a longer-term injury.”
The defender joined Rangers on loan from Feyenoord this summer. He has been playing really well in recent weeks and has proved his quality.
Clement has often used him in the right-back role ahead of Gers skipper James Tavernier.
The news will come as a big blow to the club as they are waiting to find out the severity of the injury.
Rabbi Matondo and Oscar Cortes are also out injured at the moment. Cortes, however, could be back as early as next week.
Rangers cannot afford to drop any more points
With no international break coming up until March, this is a period where Rangers need to build momentum.
They have to win all their games in the league to put pressure on the top two.
Dundee Utd picked up their first win in four games prior to the international break when they defeated Ross County 3-0, and they will be looking to cause an upset at Ibrox.
