West Ham United pulled off a surprising 2-1 win over Manchester United last Sunday. 

The Hammers made a horrible start to the London Stadium encounter as the visitors dominated possession and chances. 

However, Julen Lopetegui’s side managed to keep the scoreline 0-0 until the break and then scored the opener through Crysencio Summerville. 

Casemiro levelled the scores but Jarrod Bowen’s injury-time goal ultimately secured full points for the hosts. 

West Ham will now be looking to claim back-to-back wins when they travel to West Bridgford to take on Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Łukasz Fabiański produced an excellent display last time against United. He is expected to retain his spot in goal this weekend, keeping Alphonse Areola on the bench. 

In front of the 39-year-old, Julen Lopetegui is likely to make a single change, axing Konstantinos Mavropanos to bring ‘exciting’ summer arrival Jean-Clair Todibo back in the team. 

Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman and Emerson Palmeiri should keep their first-team berths. 

Edson Alvarez received a lot of praise for his impressive performance against Man Utd. BBC football pundit Troy Deeney even included the 27-year-old in his Premier League team of the week. 

The Mexican should partner Tomas Soucek in midfield, with Guido Rodriguez dropping to the bench. 

Lucas Paqueta deserves to be axed from the team but Lopetegui may still opt to start the 27-year-old as an attacking midfielder, with Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville operating as the wide attackers.  

Michail Antonio is likely to spearhead the Hammers’ attack once again this weekend.
