Arsenal are weighing up a move for West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus.
The Gunners signed Declan Rice from West Ham in the summer of 2023-24 for a club record £105 million deal, and they are looking to raid their London rivals yet again.
According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, Arsenal are looking to add more quality to their attacking areas, as goals have dried up from open play.
Arsenal are six points behind Liverpool who have a game in hand, and they could be willing to spend big in January to add more quality to their squad.
What could work in their favour is that West Ham are willing to cash in on Kudus in January if they get a big-money offer next month.
The Ghanaian has a release clause of around £85 million that becomes active in the summer. However, even if Arsenal want to sign him in January, they will have to pay a handsome fee, which will be close to his release clause.
Another big-money raid from Arsenal?
Kudus has scored ten goals in 38 Premier League starts for the Hammers, and the club would be willing to sell him for a high profit.
The 24-year-old is an exciting attacker who is known for his speed, skill, and ability to score, and he will be a fantastic addition to the Gunners if they can secure a deal for him.
It would be another blockbuster signing from Arsenal if they spend in the north of £80 million for a winger in January.
However, the north London giants will probably have to sell a few players to fund his move. Leandro Trossard could be allowed to move on at some point.
Trossard has been an important player for Mikel Arteta, but Arsenal should consider selling him if they receive tempting offers from Saudi Pro League clubs for the 30-year-old winger.
Newcastle United and Liverpool are also being linked with a move for Kudus, but neither of the clubs would be prepared to pay a crazy transfer fee for him.
